No More Ink

I write in pencil now.
The pen made a mess of mistakes.
A pencil permits change,
it begs for perfection
with its eraser top
ready to remedy
the ruins of my writing.
If it dulls,
I can pause to sharpen
the tip and pretend
to sharpen my mind
before beginning again
writing
erasing
sharpening
while my pencil shrinks
and my page fills with lead.

* Just a Poem about the benefits of writing in pencil.
